About McKenzie Granecki

I am a native Austinite, born and raised in the Lake Travis area. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Texas at Austin. I also received my Master’s degree in Speech/ Language Pathology at The University of Texas at Austin. Most of my professional experience comes from the school setting, where I gained even more experience collaborating with families and a variety of professionals to best meet the needs of the clients I serve.

Because of my own family experiences, I have a strong interest and background in care-giver education and training, especially when it comes to Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have a passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), fluency/ stuttering, language, executive functioning skills, and sensory integration. Most of all, I believe that communication is a human right for all and I’m passionate about using my own creativity to empower my clients and their families in the therapy services I provide.

In my free time, I enjoy running, yoga, and playing with my two rescue pups, Willow and Tempo. I volunteer at the Austin Animal Center as often as I can because I am a huge animal lover! My husband, Robert, and I recently purchased a house in Austin and love to explore the area and find new restaurants, parks, and biking/ hiking trails.
